The main reason to become a member is to be able to take all the monthly classes for no charge. If you've ever taken Dance classes at a studio, you should realized that having free classes is a great bargain for the minium price of membership. Members also often receive reduced prices for dinner dances. We are a very social group, so another great reason to join is to meet new friends!
Simply print the form below and send it in along with dues to the treasurer. Their address is on the form. After they receive the form and enter your information, you'll be a member!
Membership is limited to residents of SaddleBrooke HOA 1 and HOA 2 due to rules of the HOA's.
Yes! We are doing our best to facilitate DOWOPS (as we now call them - Dancers Originally without Partners). We are setting aside special tables at dances to make it easy for singles to dance with each other, and for other members to dance with them. We also try to make sure they have people to dance with at classes.
We need your information either as a member or a visitor in order to register you for events or classes. Logging in will provide that information, as well as your partner's information if you have one.
Once you've logged on, you'll be able to see all events you have registered for in your profile. You'll also be able to easily register for classes or events along with your partner if you have one.
In the top left of the home page in the navigation bar, there should be the word Logon in red. Click that and it will take you to the page to login. You may login as a member if you are one, or a visitor.
If you submitted your membership form and the information was entered, you should have received an email with your ID and password; check your Junk or Spam folders if you didn't receive a welcome email.
Your login id will be either your email if you have one or your first name with the first letter capitalized and the first initial of your last name capitalized.
For example John Doe would have the id of JohnD.
Your initial password is test1234 in lower case.
If you are not a member, simply use the visitor registration to login.
Novice Classes are self-contained classes that are designed for students that have never danced or haven't danced in a long while. They will provide an introduction to a couple of dances. Visitors are welcome at these classes. You can see which dances will be taught by checking the events list on the website.
You sign up each of these classes individually either by emailing countmein@sbballroomdance.com or registering on the website.
Monthly Dance classes are designed for members to concentrate on a single dance for a month. They normally meet twice a week for a full month. There are various levels from Novice to Intermediate. Visitors may attend one class to see how they like it.
You can sign up for the entire monthly class by emailing countmein@sbballroomdance.com or registering on the website.
Dance Parties are dances where food may or may not be served. The food will be served prior to the dance usually at 4:30pm. The dance will normally start at 6pm once the food is cleared if food was served.
There may be a cost involved and if there is, it will be indicated on the event. Normally if payment is required for the event, a form will be associated with the event that will be submitted to the treasurer with the check. The treasurer's address will be indicated on the form.
We will need to know if you plan to partake of the meal, or just attend the dance so that the correct number of tables can be set up in the ballroom.
You can register by emailing countmein@sbballroomdance.com or on the website.
Open Practices are rooms and times set aside for informal dance practice. They are indicated on the Activites Calendar. Click Here to See the Activities Calendar for times and dates.
We try to have a DJ at most of them - especially Fridays and Sundays, so that you can practice what you've been learning in the various classes. You can request music for various dances, and the DJs will play them if they have the music.
Often on Tuesdays when no Novice Class is being held, the room will be available without a DJ, so you could feel free to bring your own music and practice.
They are designated as Open because they are open to all SaddleBrooke Residents.
